On the Negative:  With Toshiba being so focused on dependability, some applications are more costly to implement than on some other systems.  Call recording, call queuing, and some other applications are not hosted on the telephone system platform but on additional services.  The negative is that there is additional cost associated with two separate systems and some additional complexity as more integration is required.  Why build a system like this?  Because if your queuing or call recording solution develop a software issue – your primary call processing is not brought down with it.
